A small composition exercise (micro-piece #1) follows the recovery of a scenographic element from the piece that previously brought Mantero and Silva together, The Fright is a Whole World (2021) by Vera Mantero: 2 iron rings, about 2 metres in diameter. With the collaboration of designer and artist Santiago Tricot, this project explores, in the form of a poetic exercise, the relationship between form and content, between solid and air, the crossing of the body and its image in the relationship with two heavy iron rings.
Vera Mantero and Teresa Silva practise the body, look for relationships, are surprised by the encounter, in a kind of exercise in astonishment. Between choreography, performance and thought, the work of Vera Mantero, one of the undisputed artists of contemporary Portuguese dance, dialogues side by side with the artistic language of Teresa Silva, choreographer and dancer. A reflection on time and the materiality and subjectivity of objects, which usually appear as choreographic material, runs through both artists' work.
