“as you see or don't”
Marusya Byzova & Masha Shalagina
residency from 4 to 29 August 2025
The two solos of Masha and Marusya find common ground in their exploration of the state of transition, as well as in a shared interest in positioning this theme between the formats of performance and installation. Artists strive to build a space where the 'performer-spectator' relationship can be re-imagined by playing with and breaking apart dynamics of 'giver-taker', 'watching-being watched', 'active-passive'. This work is an invitation to delve into the confusion and poetics of in-between spaces.
'In the Name of Love'
dai ida
residency from 6 to 31 October 2025
In the Name of Love is an autofictional investigation into love and its contradictory uses. Based on personal experiences marked by violence and silencing, and in dialogue with Bell Hooks' All About Love, the work offers a raw and intimate reflection on how love is invoked to justify abuse, erasure and pain, questioning its true meaning and transformative power.
