“as you see or don't”
Marusya Byzova & Masha Shalagina
artistic residency: 4 to 29 August 2025
process sharing open to the public: 29 August 2025, 7pm
The two solos of Masha and Marusya find common ground in their exploration of the state of transition, as well as in a shared interest in positioning this theme between the formats of performance and installation. Artists strive to build a space where the 'performer-spectator' relationship can be re-imagined by playing with and breaking apart dynamics of 'giver-taker', 'watching-being watched', 'active-passive'. This work is an invitation to delve into the confusion and poetics of in-between spaces.
'The Beauty of the Lover'
dai ida
artistic residency: 6 to 31 October 2025
Process sharing open to the public: 31 October, 7pm
What does a lover want, if not to continue desiring? In A Beleza do Amante (The Beauty of the Lover), the audience is invited to enter into an autofiction that attempts to circumscribe desire – a task that fails from the outset. The performer evokes his memories and fantasies in an attempt to uncover clues to his own impulses as a desiring being. But what about when desire shows you an unusual version of yourself: do you move forward or run away? What body does your desire need to run free?
