Emotions are part of every child's growth.
Through their bodies, movement, and play, children express what they feel, often before they can put it into words.

The Body That Feels is an artistic and educational workshop that invites children to explore emotions through movement, theatrical play, and creative expression. Over five days, we create a safe and welcoming environment where each child can learn to recognize emotions, understand how the body reacts to emotions, and discover ways to calm down, communicate, and relate to others.

In this workshop, emotions are presented as important signals from our bodies and our experiences. There are no “good” or “bad” emotions: they all have a function and can be understood and managed. Through age-appropriate activities - such as movement games, role-playing, body awareness exercises, relaxation, and group sharing - children will:

recognize emotions such as joy, sadness, fear, and anger; understand how emotions manifest themselves in the body; learn to name feelings and thoughts; try out simple (and playful) self-regulation strategies (pausing, breathing, calming the body); develop empathy, listening skills, and respect for others; understand that each person feels and expresses
